Taking stock...

I resent daily medication & I still do! I detest needles & I still do! I cannot resist the urge to nip the acupuncture uncle & I am still trying!

But ... changes are happening & I can't help smiling...

Last week, I was officially taken off one of the two meds that I had been taking since last year!

Each of my past 2 seizures lasted 4 minutes in total. It has been quite a while since they were within 5 minutes! Whoo hoo!

There are a few stages in a seizure, and one of them is kinda like the 'actual seizure' whereby the seizure activity is most intense & critical (t was not present in the seizure that mum first witnessed when I was around 3, but over the years, it developed and its duration increased too). Prior to starting on medication, it was around 5 min, and prior to acupuncture, the timing of this was around 3 minutes.

However, I did not go into that last week!! 0 minutes!!!

===

Whoo hoo, join me in merry-making! Let's do the wire's merry little jig! Celebrate with me!! It has been one heck of a fight & the road ahead is uncertain, but at least there is alot to smile about for now.

^_^

Party

Hey Party,
It's time to pawty!!! We're so happy you're doing much better. Those seizure things are not fun at all. Too bad you need the meds, but it's better then having the bad seizures. Snickers & I are both hypothyroid & have to take thyroid hormones, no big deal though since we get a treat after taking our pills, hehehehe. We do get poked for the blood tests, they must check the hormone levels several times per year. Hope you have a good weekend.

Hey Party, so glad to hear you're off some of the medication. Acupuncture certainly helps me with my neck problems. I don't mind the needles much once they're in position (except in my feet)! Here's hoping you feel better pal! Jx

Congratulations Party. I am so glad that you are doing so much better. Acupuncture really do wonders. I dun go for regular acupuncture session le. I am forced to swim more often. I still go back to Dr Oh once every 3 - 4 months. If I go more often than that it means I am in pain. so I hope I dun go see Dr Oh at all. hee....

I hate the needles and the med too. I resist the med so much that I almost got myself chocked once while trying to force the capsules out of my throat. hee...

Hi Party! We are sure glad you get to give up one of the medicines! Seizures are never fun, so it's good that more time goes by between them!

Hey guys,
I am so glad to hear that the meds are going down to nothing. That is awesome how the seizures are diminishing. I have to admit I wish they'd just go away but we all know it's not always what a wire wishes for. But so glad to see you back to blogging and getting back to normal. Take care of yourselves.

Wirey hugs,
Ozzy
